BALUT!

THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! It's fertilized duck embryo soft-boiled in the shell. I devoured three of them. It was easy for me since I grew up eating it. The best part was watching my teammates gag on it. It took some time for them to ease up to it.

Pork Chops, some okra, and fried eggplant.

I LOVE this thing. They pretty much flattened the egg plant beyond recoginition and then fried it.

Green beans and beef.

Yes, they eat almost every meal with rice. And also expect the same dishes and utensils to be in every picture from this month on. This is the first meal made for us by our ministry host :D At the rate they're feeding us the title of this blog is going starting to become misleading.

Adobo, pineapple cake, and fresh pineapple.

Wish I ate more of this stuff. Meat (chicken) and potatoes marinated in vinegar and other spices. The cake was pretty damn good. This was also our first meal overseas! Made for us by our host in Manila :)
