крем карамел

Also known as flan. Less than a dollar!

Fried chicken hearts.

With a lemon wedge to squeeze over it. Very good stuff.

Tripe soup, the way it's suppose to be made.

Ordered this at a restaurant. Turned out mine was better :/ A very bland soup. The tripe itself has no flavor and only provides texture. The broth was practically water and oil.

Fig and toffee ice cream.

Pretty good stuff given the fact that it's less than $2. A little bit too rich, so I would say less toffee, more figs. Little bits of walnuts adds a nice crunch.

Tarator.

I was hoping to try this at least once in Bulgaria. Got it the first day! And the second! The restaurant is only a five minute walk away from where we're staying! AND IT'S LESS THAN A DOLLAR!! A yogurt based cold soup with cucumber, onions, and dill. Fondly reminds me of Indian Raita. Usually a summer dish so they looked at me weird while I was ordering it, on top of the fact that I'm a foreigner.
